That is hell, have tried it many times but Nintendo's customer support is, well, Nintendo's customer support. Step two is to use DMZ on the Wii U (like seriously? Who even tries to hack Wii U's?) or god forbid, look up which ports are used. Setting up a bridge might help though, that is step one to always try if you ask me. It does not help either that the company I get internet from, Telia (which is the biggest phone and internet provider around here), are like "no no no, no DMZ for you". I have a f***ing Thompson router at home, and everyone who have ever had to deal with those PoS know how terrible they are. I missed the window to get Mewtwo for free, too. ATT also watches for PdaNet/FoxFi usage, but I don't know about Verizon. I think the phone has to be rooted for all this, but I run a custom OS and have no idea which things I'm using require root anymore. 4G speeds are incredible, and I've gotten 16-20 mb/sec (little b) out of it, which is superb for any internet connection. They officially give me 5 GB of tethering each month, but FoxFi and PDANet mask the data as non-tethered, which allows me to use it exclusively for Internet. I have Sprint, because they offer unlimited data, which neither ATT or Verizon have. I missed the window to get Mewtwo for free, too.Įdit this post: I use Wi-Fi Tethering with FoxFi and PDANet for Internet. But every time I try with the Wii-U version, it gives me the error "Could not connect to partner's device." Any thoughts? I could still put other devices in the way I've got routers and shit lying around unused. The setup gives me no issues with Steam, World of Warcraft (which I quit playing with the ability pruning), and the 3DS SSB.
